Custom screws made to your drawings | Development and production

Interwolf develops and manufactures screws to customer drawings for series production. Technical support, geometry optimisation and stable production in the EU.

When to choose a custom screw made to drawing

Standard screws to DIN and ISO cover most applications. A custom screw made to your drawing is the right choice when:

  • standard head or thread geometry does not provide a sufficiently stable hold in a particular material
  • the assembly process requires an adapted head or drive shape
  • a specific combination of dimensions is needed that the standard range does not cover
  • a tighter tolerance is needed for stable automated assembly

In such cases, we develop a solution tailored to the specific application and the customer's production process.

What we need to start a project

To assess feasibility and prepare a quotation, we need a drawing of the screw. Based on the drawing, our technical team checks production feasibility and proposes the next steps.

As with our standard product range, the minimum order quantity for custom projects made to drawing is 100,000 pieces.

How development works

A custom screw made to your drawing is developed through a clearly defined process — from feasibility analysis to series production. A detailed description of the full development process is available on the Development page.

Production options

Within custom projects made to drawing we can produce various technical designs, including:

  • different head shapes
  • different drive types
  • different profiles

Screws to drawing with tight tolerances and stable batches

Interwolf specialises in producing non-standard screws made to customer drawings. Our key advantage is not only compliance with the documentation, but the ability to maintain long-term stability in large batches.

We handle batches of tens of millions, where process repeatability is just as important as the tolerance itself. For certain dimensions we achieve deviations of approximately 0.02 mm (depending on the dimension and project requirements).

Optimisation for automated assembly lines

We are strong in projects where screws are part of automated high-volume assembly. We understand how head roundness, choice of drive (TORX vs PZ) and tolerances affect feeding stability and tightening torque.

Through technical cooperation we help customers reduce line stoppages, scrap, bit wear and complaints.
